Oldham RLFC held a meeting of supporters on Tuesday 4th December which was attended by 44 people including several from Rugby Oldham. Club representatives spoke eloquently about team affairs, the costs of staging matches, future funding from the RFL and ideas for attracting new sponsorship and increasing attendances.

The audience was appreciative of the presentation and several ideas were proposed to improve the club’s reach, particularly with regard to the amateur clubs and encouraging more young followers. More detail can be found on the club’s own website.

Encouraged by the response the club suggested meeting again, perhaps at 3 or 6 monthly intervals.

Rugby Oldham for its part pledged its support for the parent club in developing better and more far reaching community relations.
